Chhath festival is also celebrated in many parts of MP, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Rajasthan. States declaring holiday on Chhath Puja

Bihar

Chhath festival is celebrated prominently in this state, so the Bihar government has declared a 4-day holiday here. According to media reports, there will be a holiday in Bihar from 6th to 9th.

Jharkhand

Chhath festival is also a major festival of Jharkhand. In such a situation, like Bihar, there is a possibility of a long holiday there too, but so far no holiday has been announced for Chhath Puja in Jharkhand. However, the information is that restricted holiday has been declared on November 7 for central employees in Jharkhand.

Delhi

In the country’s capital Delhi, the government had declared a holiday for Chhath Puja last week. Chief Minister Atishi has declared a public holiday in Delhi on November 7. Announcing the holiday, the CM said that there will be a public holiday in Delhi on the 7th so that people celebrating Chhath Puja can celebrate it with enthusiasm.

Uttar Pradesh

Chhath Puja holiday is also likely to be on the 7th in UP. However, it is difficult to say whether there will be a holiday in the entire state. There may be a holiday on Chhath in the districts of Purvanchal side. There has been no official announcement from the UP government regarding the holiday yet.
