Cinema hall open, only 4 people to watch morning show in Delhi’s 150 seater theater

Disappointed with a dull start, theater officials hoped that the number of viewers watching the cinema would increase in the coming years.

Covid-19 Pandemic: Cinema halls closed in March reopened on Thursday due to lockdown amid Corona epidemic . Talking about the capital of the country, very few people came here to watch the movie. The government has allowed the opening of cinema halls only on the condition of adhering to all the safety protocols (Covid-safety protocols), the Central and State Government guidelines on sanitation and standards of operating procedure (SOP). Although somewhat disappointed by this dull start, theater officials hoped that the number of viewers watching the cinema would increase in the coming years. Delhi’s Greater Kailash area in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area sold only four tickets for the 11:30 pm show while only five in the 2:30 pm show. Recent seat capacity is 150.




Saurabh, who bought the tickets for the morning show, said, ‘I have come to check mainly with the friend what kind of precaution these people are taking. Ajay Anand, who arrived to buy tickets to watch the film with the family for tomorrow, said, ‘I was desperately waiting for the cinema hall to open, we were’ imprisoned ‘in the house for a very long time.

Theater officials said that they had a feeling that the response would be slow in the beginning. However, they are waiting for the weekend when all 130 screens in Delhi will probably be opened to the audience. PVR has 68 screens in Delhi. The company has 500 screens in the states where cinema halls have been allowed to open, including Haryana, Gujarat, UP, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir. During its visit, NDTV found that all Kovid-19 guidelines, including contact less transaction, thermal screening, are being followed in the theater. Currently theaters have been allowed to open with 50 per cent capacity and fewer shows. This show will mainly operate from 12 noon to 8 pm.
