Two big inflation bombs have exploded on Delhiites within 12 hours, as Indraprastha Gas Limited increased the prices of PNG on Wednesday midnight while on Thursday increased the CNG prices as early as morning. In this way, within just 12 hours, the road to the kitchen gave a shock of inflation.
New Delhi. Although Delhi belongs to the hearts of the people, but hearing this news, their heart will sit. Inflation, which is taking out the bankruptcy of Delhiites, has given another blow today. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) heard the bad news of increasing the price of PNG before going to sleep at night and increased the prices of CNG as soon as it opened its eyes in the morning.
There is no jugaad of wildly rising inflation and the ‘witch’ is not leaving the chase of the drivers who ran towards CNG to get rid of the sharply increased prices of petrol and diesel. IGL on Thursday increased the prices of CNG by Rs 2.5 per kg. After this the new price of CNG reached Rs 71.61 per kg. IGL has increased the prices of CNG for the second time in a week. In this way, till now there has been an increase of Rs 5 per kg.
CNG became costlier by Rs 13.50 this year
IGL has increased the prices of CNG by Rs 13.50 per kg in the year 2022 itself. Out of this, an increase of Rs 11.60 was made within a fortnight. On last Thursday i.e. on 6th April also the company had increased the prices of CNG by Rs 2.50. Apart from CNG, LPG cylinder has also become costlier by Rs 50, while the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by Rs 10.20 per liter since March 22.
New rate of CNG in NCR
After increasing the prices by Rs 2.5 by IGL, the new rates of CNG have been released today. Now CNG has reached Rs 74.17 per kg in Noida-Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. Similarly, one kg of CNG was sold in Gurugram for Rs 79.94.
Apart from this, the rate of CNG has reached Rs 78.84 per kg in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli while Rewari has reached Rs 82.07 per kg. Karnal and Kaithal are being sold at Rs 80.27 per kg while Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur are selling at Rs 83.40 per kg.
CNG reaches Rs 72 in Mumbai
MGL has increased the prices of CNG by Rs 5 per kg on Tuesday night, after which the rate of CNG in Mumbai has reached Rs 72 per kg. Earlier on April 5 also, the prices of CNG were increased by Rs 7 per kg. Earlier on April 1, when the Maharashtra government had cut VAT by 10 percent, MGL had reduced the price of CNG by Rs 6 per kg. However, to make up for this within just two weeks, the CNG prices have been increased by Rs 12.
