Along with Corona, the new variant of Corona JN.1 has also increased the concern of the people. It has reached more than 50 countries so far. 22 cases of JN.1 have also been reported in India. This new variant of Corona is said to be spreading rapidly. WHO has classified it as a ‘Variant of Interest’ (VOI). Those strains are kept in the Variant of Interest, in which there is no threat to public health. But, there is a need to be cautious about this mutation.
Corona patients are being found every day in India
If we talk about Corona cases, new cases of Covid are being reported every day in India too. In view of the continuously increasing cases of Corona and its new variants, the Central Government has issued an advisory, while all the state governments are on alert mode. Meanwhile, all elderly people aged 60 years and above, people suffering from other diseases (kidney, heart, liver diseases), pregnant women, lactating mothers have been advised to compulsorily wear face masks when going out. Along with this, it has been advised to strictly avoid going to closed, less ventilated places and crowded places.

– Of these only 266 cases are from Kerala and 70 cases are from Karnataka.
– Five new cases of Covid in Delhi in the last 24 hours
– Total active cases across the country 3420

Don’t panic, but stay alert
In this matter, Dr. Sonia Rawat, Senior Consultant of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, says that the new variant of Corona JN.1 is challenging the immunity along with being infectious, that is why it is attacking the body even after the Corona vaccine. But this does not mean that the vaccine is not effective. The vaccine is fully capable of providing protection against the JN.1 variant. Therefore, there is no need to panic too much about this variant, but there is a need to be cautious. Also, there is a need to keep the immune system strong.
