Along with Corona, the new variant of Corona JN.1 has also increased the concern of the people. It has reached more than 50 countries so far. 22 cases of JN.1 have also been reported in India. This new variant of Corona is said to be spreading rapidly. WHO has classified it as a ‘Variant of Interest’ (VOI). Those strains are kept in the Variant of Interest, in which there is no threat to public health. But, there is a need to be cautious about this mutation.

In view of the continuously increasing cases of Corona and its new variants, the Central Government has issued an advisory, while all the state governments are on alert mode. Meanwhile, all elderly people aged 60 years and above, people suffering from other diseases (kidney, heart, liver diseases), pregnant women, lactating mothers have been advised to compulsorily wear face masks when going out. Along with this, it has been advised to strictly avoid going to closed, less ventilated places and crowded places.
