New Delhi, Tech Desk. All sporting events around the world have been closed for several months in view of the corona virus epidemic. Meanwhile, the NBA (National Basketball Association) is preparing for its next season. In the new season, players can take the field wearing a safety ring. It will be able to detect the initial symptoms of corona virus from ring players. Also be able to monitor the players’ body temperature and heart rate. Like the Smart Watch, this smart ring will have a variety of sensors that can detect the symptoms of COVID-19 from players.
This information has been given by The Athletic Journalist Shams Charania through his Twitter handle. Shams Charania wrote in his tweet that inside the Orlando Bubble there will be an option to wear rings across NBA players to detect early signs of the Corona virus. It will also be able to monitor body temperature, respiratory system and hort rate.

The special thing about the ring that looks like this bracelet is that if there is less than 6 feet distance between the players then it starts to beep. A proposal was sent last month for the use of this Oura Smart Ring, as revealed by a study by the Neuroscience Institute at West Virginia University. The institute said that it will be able to get the data of the player wearing the ring through in-app and digital platforms. Its accuracy has been measured up to 90 percent.
This second generation Oura Smart Rings made of titanium metal is water resistance and weighs only four to 6 grams. Once charged, it can be used for seven days. When the battery runs out, it only takes 80 minutes to fully charge. It has infrared LED sensors, three body temperature sensors and an accelerometer and gyroscope sensor. Through this smart ring, users’ body data can be synced via in-app to iOS or Android devices. It works on Bluetooth and low energy.
