New Delhi: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a nationwide examination, which is conducted to determine the qualification of teachers.
The board had said in the exam bulletin that the admit cards would be issued in the first week of December. It is worth noting that the CTET Exam 2011 is to be conducted from 16 December to 13 January.
The exam will be held in two shifts, the first shift will start from 9.30 am and will continue till 12 noon. Whereas the second shift will start at 2.30 pm and will end at 5 pm.
To be admitted as a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalayas, it is mandatory to pass this exam.
CTET exam syllabus
Paper 1 – This question paper is of 150 marks. In this only 150 questions are asked. That is, each question is of one mark. All questions are multiple choice. Which are divided as follows
1- Child development and pedagogy 30 questions
2- language-1 30 questions
3- language-2 30 questions
4-mathematics 30 questions
5- environmental studies 30 questions
Paper 2 This question paper is also of 150 marks only.
1- Child development and pedagogy 30 questions
2- language-1 30 questions
3- language-2 30 questions
4-maths and science 60 questions Or social studies and social science 60 questions
In Paper 2, you will have to do either part of maths and science or social studies and social science part of 60 depending on the option filled by you.
