Cyber ​​attack on Dr. Reddy’s lab, one day after Sputnik’s trial was cleared, labs closed worldwide

Pharma giant Dr Reddy’s Lab has got a cyber attack due to which the company has closed all its big plants around the world. After the news of cyber attack and plant closures, Dr. Reddy Lab shares fell sharply. Around 1 pm, Dr. Reddy’s shares fell 1.17 per cent to Rs 4985.30. Earlier, when the news came, the company’s shares had fallen 2.94 per cent to Rs 4,898.45 at 10.30 am.

There is a cyber attack on Dr. Reddy’s plants in India, Brazil, Russia, UK and USA. According to the report, the attack occurred between 4 pm and 5 pm American time. A company spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

Talking to CNBC-TV18, the company spokesperson said that at the moment we cannot make any statement on this.

The case of cyber attack on Dr. Reddy’s lab comes at a time when the company announced a day earlier that it has received DGCA’s permission for the second phase trial of Sputnik V vaccine in India. A day before the cyber attack, Dr. Reddy’s Lab and Russia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, announced the trial.
