Destruction is caused by three elements
There are three elements associated with a cyclone, which cause destruction.
Strong Wind: Cyclones are known to cause severe damage to infrastructure with high speed winds. The very strong winds that accompany cyclonic storms damage installations, housing, communication systems, trees, etc., causing loss of life and property. Strong gusts of wind, on the other hand, tend to be longer in wind speed and form ripple bands around the cyclone.
Torrential rain and floods: Torrential rain (greater than 30 cm / h) associated with cyclones is another major cause of damage. Unseasonal rains lead to floods. Rain with a storm can increase the damage. Rain is a serious problem for those without any shelter during a cyclone. Heavy rainfall with cyclones usually occurs over a wide area and causes soil erosion and weakening of embankments.
Increase in sea level: Due to cyclonic storm, sea level rises abnormally. As a result, sea water fills the low-lying areas of the coastal areas. Many accessories as well
Bar people also drown. This tree destroys plants and reduces soil fertility.
lassification of cyclonic storms
The criteria adopted by the World Meteorological Organization has been used by the Indian Meteorological Department to classify low pressure systems in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
