This 11% was a stagnant growth in that one and a half year period. But, the government did not issue any instructions on the arrears of this interval. But, now government employees-officers and pensioners are going to get good news. The central government can give them a big gift by announcing an increase in DA (DA Hike).
Increased DA will be announced in March
The Central Government revises Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief twice every year (January 1 and July 1). It is usually announced in the month of March and September. At present, central employees are getting 31 percent DA. From July 1, 2021, all central employees and pensioners are getting 31 percent DA on pension. This year also, in March around Holi, the central government will revise the DA. It is clear from the new inflation figures that the DA will increase by 3%. After the release of the new data of the AICPI index, there is bound to be an increase in DA, but it has not been announced yet.
48 lakh employees and 69 lakh pensioners will benefit
Whenever the central government announces the increased DA, it will be considered applicable from January 1, 2022. Meaning that as many months pass, the employee and pensioners will also benefit from DA Arrears. About 48 lakh employees and officers will benefit from this decision of the government. At the same time, 69 lakh pensioners will also get the benefit.
Calculate on basic salary
According to experts, it is clear from the data of inflation index that there will be an increase of 3 percent in DA. Meaning, after increasing by 3 percent, DA will become 34%. DA is calculated on the basic salary on the basis of 7th Pay Commission. Suppose your minimum basic salary is Rs 18,000, then there will be an increase in DA by Rs 540.
How much will the DA increase on how much basic?
Those with a basic salary of 25,000 will get a benefit of Rs 750 in DA every month. There will be an increase in DA of Rs 1,500 for those with a basic salary of 50,000. Those whose basic salary is Rs 1,00,000, after the increase of 3% in dearness allowance, the total salary will increase by Rs 3,000. The basic salary at the level of Cabinet Secretary is Rs 2.5 lakh. In such a situation, his DA will increase by Rs 7500.
