DA Hike Arrear: In November also, the government had increased DA by 4 percent. The increased DA will be calculated according to the level. Basic pay in Level-3 is Rs 18000. Come see the complete calculation- 

7th Pay Commission Latest News: Even before the release of the notification in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the government has increased the DA / DR of central employees and pensioners. In the cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening, the decision to increase DA by 4 percent was approved. Now dearness allowance has increased from 46 percent to 50 percent. The government will pay it from January 1, 2024. After the announcement in March before Holi, employees may have to wait till April for the money.

Three months arrears will also be available

After the announcement made by the government, employees will be paid with three months’ DA arrears in April. Till now DA (dearness allowance) was being given at the rate of 46 percent. Earlier in November also, the government had increased DA by 4 percent. The increased DA will be calculated according to the level. In Level-3, basic pay is Rs 18000 and grade pay is Rs 1800. Let us see the revised calculation of DA on Level-3 salary-

Calculation on minimum basic salary Rs 18000

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000
2. New dearness allowance (50%) Rs 9000 / month
3. Till now dearness allowance (46%) Rs 8280 / month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 9000-8280 = Rs 720 / month
5. Increase in annual salary 720X12= Rs 8640

Calculation of maximum basic salary of Level-3 at Rs 56,900 with 50% dearness allowance-

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900
2. New dearness allowance (50%) Rs 28,450 / month
3. Till now dearness allowance (46%) Rs 26,174 / month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 28,450-26,174 = Rs 2276 / month
5. Increase in annual salary 2276X12= Rs 27312

Note: The above calculation has been done only on the basis of DA hike. This calculation will be different depending on the travel allowance (TPTA).
