Now how much will DA Hike be ?

The DA hike was expected to be 4 per cent earlier, but this situation prevailed when the AICPI index figure increased in November as well. Now this figure has remained stable on the October figure only. In such a situation, its meaning has changed for the central employees. Actually, the figure of AICPI index for November 2022 has been at 132.5. In October also this figure was at 132.5. Experts tell that now the number of December has to come. But, there is less hope that the figure will be able to reach 133.5. In such a situation, it is not possible to increase DA Hike by 4 percent. In this situation, there will be a DA hike of only 3 percent for central employees.

When will DA be announced?

The announcement for dearness allowance is to be made in March. Zee Business has already told you that this announcement can happen on March 1, 2023. If sources are to be believed then Holi is on 8th March. Before this, the cabinet meeting is to be held on the 1st. A decision can be taken on this day. Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) may be announced in March, but it will be considered applicable from January 2023 itself. The money for this period will be credited along with the March salary. That’s why arrears of two months January and February will also be given to them.

How much will DA reach and how much will the salary increase?

If the numbers of AICPI index are considered as the basis, then now their dearness allowance can increase by 3 percent. If this happens then the total dearness allowance will be 41 per cent. At present, he is being paid at the rate of 38 per cent. In such a situation, if the minimum salary i.e. basic salary of an employee is Rs 18000, then at present he would be getting Rs 6840 per month. At 41 per cent, his dearness allowance will reach Rs 7380. Talking about the total difference, there will be an increase of Rs 540 in DA.

Where did inflation increase?

1- There has been a slight decline in the figures of Food and Beverages. The figure was at 133.9 points in October, which has come down to 133.3 points in November.
2- There is a slight increase in the inflation of pan, supari, tobacco products. It stood at 148.5 points in October. In November the figure stood at 148.7.
3- In the case of clothing and footwear, a slight increase has also been seen. In October the figure was at 131.9, which has now increased to 132.3 points.
4- There has been no change in the case of housing. The figure was at 121.0 in October, which remained the same in November as well.
5- There has been no increase in the inflation of fuel and light. This figure is stable at 177.8 points in October.
6- A slight increase has been seen in the case of Miscellaneous inflation. It has increased from 128.4 to 129.1.
The figure of Group Index in November also remained at the level of October at 132.5 points.
