New Delhi: There is good news for contract workers. Contract workers have got a bumper increase of 83% in dearness allowance (DA Hike) under the sixth pay scale. Earlier, DA of contract workers was available at the rate of 113 percent, which has been increased to 196 percent. The cabinet of the Jharkhand government has approved the J-TET Rules, due to which more than half a dozen appointment manuals have been approved.
Big decision on dearness allowance
In the cabinet meeting of Jharkhand government, a big decision has been taken to increase dearness allowance of contractual workers. Under the sixth pay scale, it has now been said to increase dearness allowance by 83 percent for contractual workers. At present it is 113 percent which will be increased to 196. After this announcement, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of contract workers. Apart from this, about half a dozen appointment rules and J-TET rules have also been approved. Many big decisions were taken in the cabinet. A total of 63 proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting. Now the contractual workers will now get the increased dearness allowance.
Central government can also increase DA
After a long wait of central government employees and pensioners, 3% increase in dearness allowance has been fixed. That is, now employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) at the rate of 34%. There has been a decrease of one point in the December 2021 index of the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI Index).
Let us tell you that the average of 12 months index for dearness allowance is 351.33 with an average of 34.04% (Dearness allowance). But, dearness allowance is always given in whole numbers. That is, from January 2022, the total dearness allowance is set to be 34%.
