Big jump in dearness allowance

Under the 7th Pay Commission, AICPI numbers from July to December 2023 will decide the dearness allowance for central employees. Dearness allowance has reached 48.54 percent. There are still 3 more months of numbers to come. Experts believe that there is a possibility of it increasing further by 2.50 percent. An increase of 5 percent in dearness allowance may be seen in January 2024.
