Karnataka DA Hike News: Recently, the Central Government had announced DA / DR hike for lakhs of employees and pensioners. After the announcement by the Centre, many state governments have announced increase in dearness allowance. Employees also seem very happy with this announcement made before Holi. Now the Karnataka government has approved increasing DA. After the government approves the DA hike, due to increase in dearness allowance by 4 percent, employees will get 42.5% DA. Till now Karnataka government gives salary and pension to employees and pensioners at the rate of 38.75%.
There will be an additional burden of Rs 1792 crore
Apart from this, the DA of the state government employees who are getting salary will be increased from 46% to 50%. After this change, there will be an additional burden of Rs 1792.71 crore on the government every year. Earlier on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh government announced about DA hike of employees. Here the government has increased the dearness allowance and DA for pensioners by 4 percent to 50 percent. The increased DA received by the state government will be implemented from January 1, 2024.
‘Happiness of employees is important for us’

At the same time, employees getting Central Government pay scale will now get DA increased from 46% to 50%. He said, this change shows the government’s commitment towards the employees. This will put an additional burden of Rs 1792.71 crore on the government annually. But the happiness of the employees is important for us.
Like the Centre, state government employees will also be given two months’ arrears along with March salary. In most of the states DA has increased to 50 percent. 68,818 employees and 33,200 pensioners will benefit from the decision of Arunachal government. The state government will have to spend Rs 124.20 crore more annually on these. Earlier, the Central Government and the Yogi Government of UP had announced the increase in dearness allowance. In UP too, dearness allowance has increased by 4 percent to 50 percent. 28 lakh employees and pensioners of the state have benefited from the decision of CM Yogi.
