Before Holi, the Hemant Soren government of the state has given a big gift to the employees and pensioners coming under the sixth and fifth pay commission. The state government has increased the dearness allowance of these employees and pensioners by 7 and 12%. The new rates will be effective from July 2024.
In fact, an important cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of CM Hemant Soren, which also includes the decision to increase DA / DR of the employees of Jharkhand State Government. According to the cabinet decision, after the 7 percent increase, now the employees under the Sixth Central Pay Commission will get 246 percent DA of the current basic salary, which was earlier 239 percent. After the 12 percent increase, now the government employees coming under the Fifth Pay Commission will get the benefit of 455 percent DA, which has been earlier increased to 443 percent, which will be effective from July 1, 2024.
DA of employees-pensioners of 7th Pay Commission was increased in December
It is worth noting that in December, the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand gave a big gift to the employees and pensioners coming under the 7th Pay Commission and increased the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners by 3 percent, after which DA has increased from 50 to 53 percent. This increase will benefit more than three lakh employees and pensioners of the state. Approval was given to increase the rates of DA with effect from 01 July 2024 in the revised 7th Central Pay Scale effective from 01 January 2016. The rates of dearness relief were increased for the same pension/family pensioners with effect from 01 July 2024. The new rates will be applicable from July 2024, in such a situation, arrears from January to December will also be available. However, when and how it will be available is yet to be clear.
