How much money has to increase?
Dearness Allowance (da hike) has increased by 4%. So far the rate of dearness allowance has been 38%. After the increase of 4%, DA will now increase to 42%. There will be a slight increase in everyone’s salary according to the pay band.
As per the pay matrix, the minimum basic pay at Level-1 of Grade Pay (GP) 1800 is Rs 18000. Whereas, the maximum salary range is Rs.56900. If you look at the minimum salary range, then the DA will increase by Rs 720 per month, which means Rs 8640 per year. At the same time, there will be an annual increase of Rs 27312 in the maximum salary range. The salary of the employees of this bracket will increase by Rs 2276 per month.
How much will the salary of level-5 employees increase?
The minimum basic pay at Level-5 of Grade Pay 2800 is Rs 29,200. There will be an increase of Rs 1,168 in the dearness allowance for those in this salary range. They used to get Rs 11,096 as dearness allowance, which was available at the rate of 38%. But, after increasing, he will be paid Rs 12,264 at the rate of 42%. At the same time, the maximum basic salary in this is Rs 92300.
Employees with this salary are still getting dearness allowance of Rs 35,074 (38%). On the other hand, after increasing by 4%, their dearness allowance will be Rs.38,766 if it is 42%. Which means there will be an increase of Rs 3,692 in total. On an annual basis, he is getting a profit of Rs 44,304.
Pensioners will also get benefit according to pay band
Along with the central employees, lakhs of pensioners of the country have hope from the government. Along with DA hike, dearness relief (DR hike) is also set to increase by 4%.
