Announcing this in the Assembly, he said that this decision will benefit 1,06,932 employees and 82,000 pensioners of the state.
Announcement of increase from January 1
The Chief Minister said that this increase in dearness allowance will be effective from January 1. After this increase, the dearness allowance given to employees and pensioners has increased to 25 percent. 1 lakh employees will benefit from this.
500 crore burden on government treasury
Due to this decision of the government and 5 percent increase in dearness allowance, there will be an additional burden of Rs 500 crore on the government treasury. This announcement can give a big advantage to the government before the Lok Sabha elections. However, the central employees are still waiting for this gift.

It is believed that the Central Government can increase Dearness Allowance by 4 percent. According to the recently released Industrial Workers Consumer Price Index (CPI-IW) published by the Labor Bureau, a branch of the Ministry of Labour, the dearness allowance for central government employees can be increased to 50 percent.
