Right now the DA of central employees is 42 per cent. The government has recently increased it by 4 percent and this increase has been considered applicable from January 1, 2023. Now again these discussions have started that what will be the percentage of the next DA hike. However, by what percentage DA will increase now, it will be clear by the evening of 28 April.
AICPI released the report
Dearness allowance is fixed on the basis of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). Now, on the basis of the figures that will come from January to June, it will be decided that how much dearness allowance will increase in July. At present, the final figures of AICPI are yet to come. So far the dearness allowance on the index has reached 43.79. It means that till now 44 percent dearness allowance has been fixed till February. Now it has to be seen what the March data says. This March data will come by the evening of 28 April.
DA of employees may increase to 46 percent
At one time the dearness allowance received by the employees was 34 per cent, then the government had increased the DA by 4 per cent for the first time. After that the DA received by the employees was increased to 38 per cent and now once again the government has increased the DA of the employees by 4 per cent to 42 per cent.
Now it will increase by 4 percent to 46 percent in July. If there is an increase in inflation in the report released by the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), then the Modi government can once again increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent in the month of July.
Salary can increase so much
If the dearness allowance is increased by 4 percent again in July, then the salary will increase again. Let us tell you that if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then there will be an increase of Rs 720 per month in his salary, that is, there will be an annual increase of Rs 8,280 in the salary of the employees.
