An increase in dearness allowance may be announced
According to media reports, the dearness allowance of central employees may be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held on March 17. Earlier, it was being said about the meeting of the Union Cabinet held on March 15 that an announcement could be made regarding the increase in dearness allowance, but this could not happen.
Now DA is being received at the rate of 38 per cent
According to media reports, in the cabinet meeting held on March 1, an agreement was made regarding the increase in dearness allowance, but it was not officially announced. There is talk of a 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance of central employees. If an announcement is made regarding the increase in dearness allowance in today’s cabinet meeting, then the DA of the employees will increase to 42 percent. At present, the employees are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 38 per cent.
Lakhs of employees and pensioners will be benefited
Media reports are claiming that 47 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will be benefited if the hike in dearness allowance and dearness relief is announced. On the other hand, the employees whose basic salary is Rs 18,000, after the DA hike, their monthly salary will increase by Rs 72 and their annual salary will increase by Rs 8,640.
Similarly, after the increase in DA, the monthly salary of employees with a maximum salary of Rs 56,900 will increase by Rs 2,276 per month and Rs 27,312 per year.
