DA Hike: The employee has been waiting for dearness allowance for a long time. In such a situation, according to a report, it is being said that now the wait of the employees is about to end. Actually now there is going to be an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees.
When will the dearness allowance come, when will it get approval from the cabinet and from which day the credit will start in the salary? All these questions will be in the mind of the central government employees these days. Now their long wait is going to end.
They should note down the date of 1st March. This is the day when their Dearness allowance will be stamped. The increased DA will be announced. Along with this, another good news is waiting for them. That’s why only 1 day is left. After this, there is going to be a drastic increase in the salary.
Cabinet meeting on March 1
The cabinet meeting is to be held on Wednesday, March 1. In this meeting, dearness allowance can be approved under the chairmanship of PM Modi. If the dearness allowance is approved, then the DA of central employees will increase by 4% to reach 42%. Presently payment is being made at the rate of 38%. Dearness allowance (Mehngai bhatta) has increased by 4%.
If we look at the inflation chart under 7th pay commission, from July 2022 to December 2022, the index has increased by 2.6 points. In this there has been an increase of 4.40% in the total dearness allowance. In this case, the dearness allowance of the employees will be 42%. In December 2022, the CPI-IW index decreased by 0.2 points to 132.3 points.
Salary will increase after the approval of the cabinet
The DA for central employees was confirmed from the December 2022 figures. But, there will be an increase in salary only when it is approved by the cabinet. After the approval of the cabinet, the payment of salary will start in the month of March. Employees will also get DA Arrears of two months. Modi government will approve 4% DA for the employees. With a 4 percent jump, the salary of the employees will increase by a total of Rs 720 per month. At the same time, this increase will be Rs 2276 per month for the maximum salary range.

Calculating the minimum basic salary range of level-3 of central employees at Rs 18,000, then…
1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) Rs 7560/month
3. Till now Dearness Allowance (38%) Rs 6840/month
4. How much Dearness Allowance increased 7560-6840 = Rs 720/month
5. Increase in annual salary 720X12= Rs 8640
Calculation on the maximum basic salary of level-3 at Rs 56900 with 42% dearness allowance-
1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) Rs 23898/month
3. Till now Dearness Allowance (38%) Rs 21622/month
4. How much Dearness Allowance increased 23898-21622 = Rs 2276/month
5. Increase in annual salary 2276X12 = Rs 27312
