DDA Special Housing Scheme 2025 has been approved. Under this scheme, construction workers, Divyangs and auto-cab drivers will be given a discount of 25 percent. This discount will be available in three housing schemes launched in Narela, Sirsapur and Loknayakpuram. These schemes include women, SC / ST category beneficiaries of PM-Vishwakarma, widows of martyred soldiers, ex-servicemen and gallantry award winners.
Construction workers, Divyangs, auto-cab drivers will now be given a discount of 25 percent in the housing schemes of Delhi Development Authority (DDA). This decision was taken in the board meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of DDA Chairman and LG VK Saxena. The board meeting also approved the launch of three housing schemes of the authority.
These schemes are in Narela, Sirsapur and Loknayakpuram. In these schemes, women and SC / ST category persons including PM-Vishwakarma beneficiaries, widows of martyred soldiers, ex-servicemen and gallantry award winners including PM-SVANidhi scheme will also be given a discount of 25 percent.
Facilities for people of weaker sections
Officials said that this decision will help in meeting the housing requirements of economically weaker sections and the poorest people. During this, the LG said that till now no one had thought seriously about the housing needs of the poorest people of the city. The construction workers who built houses for lakhs of people did not have a roof over their heads and were forced to live in tents and slums. The LG said that in such a situation, this decision of the authority will bring a significant change in the lives of these people.
DDA also approved Special Housing Scheme 2025
Apart from this, DDA also approved Special Housing Scheme 2025. This will make 110 flats available in popular areas like Vasant Kunj, Dwarka and Rohini besides Ashok Pahari and Jahangirpuri. In the DDA board meeting, 25 percent discount has been approved on flats under DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 and DDA Middle Class Housing Scheme 2024 for certain categories of people to provide housing to all. These include auto-rickshaw drivers (permit holders), cab drivers, women, SC/ST, war widows, disabled persons, ex-servicemen and gallantry award recipients and beneficiaries of PM-SVANidhi scheme.
Applicants reserved under first come, first serve
Under the scheme, 25 per cent of the flats in Narela (all categories), Siraspur (LIG), and Loknayakpuram (LIG) will be reserved for eligible applicants under first come, first serve. Apart from this, 10 per cent flats in Loknayakpuram (MIG) will also be reserved for the discount scheme. This scheme is available for a limited period till March 31, 2025.
Approval given for change in land use in Shakur Basti
The board meeting also approved the change of land use of 4.63 hectares of railway land in Shakur Basti from transport to residential for the group housing project. Now a public notice will be issued to invite objections and suggestions in this regard. Also, in the board meeting, amendments were also approved in the regulation for setting up of fuel stations on privately owned land in Delhi and policy guidelines for developed entities for disposal of EWS units.
