Dearness Allowance (DA) News Many major decisions were taken in the Bihar cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this sequence, the government has decided to pay one-time arrears of DA (Dearness Allowance) to the government employees and pensioners of Bihar. In October, it was approved to pay the arrears of Dearness Allowance along with the salaries for the months of July and August. With effect from 1st July 2021 (1st July 2021), 189 percent dearness allowance will be given to the employees receiving the sixth pay scale in the cabinet meeting instead of 164.

356 percent dearness allowance to employees taking fifth pay scale

At the same time, 356 percent Dearness Allowance will be given to the employees falling in the fifth pay scale category with effect from July 1, 2021 instead of 312. State employees will get 39 days leave from 2022. On this too the cabinet gave its green signal. 15 holidays will be given under the executive order. It has three Sundays. There will be 21 holidays under the NIA Act. It has six Sundays. Similarly, restricted and voluntary leave will be of 20 days. Out of these, any three can be used by the personnel.




Many other important decisions taken in the cabinet

Let us inform that in the meeting of the Cabinet, the approval of advance from the Contingency Fund for payment of salaries to the employees of the Handloom and Handicraft Corporation as well as the Drugs and Chemicals Development Corporation was also approved. The draft of the amendment ordinance 2021 of the Bihar Technical Service Commission was also approved. During this, the proposal for compulsory retirement of the then Sub Judge cum ACJM of Manjhoul in Begusarai district was approved. On the other hand, Dr. Anamika, Medical Officer of Kharagpur PHC in Munger, was dismissed from service for five years continuously for missing.
