Dearness allowance Hike: Good news has arrived for Central government employees and pensioners. A 3% increase in Dearness Allowance has been fixed for January 2022. Now employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) at the rate of 34%. It can be announced after Holi in March. Meaning it can be paid in the salary coming on 31 March 2022. The Dearness allowance for industrial workers is made 34.04% on the basis of the Consumer Price Index (AICPI) Index. But, dearness allowance is given in round figure only. In such a situation, a total of 34% dearness allowance is set to be received from January 2022. Apart from this, DA for two months i.e. January, February will also be available as arrears in March.

Will be paid in March!

According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, dearness allowance (DA payment) is paid on the basic salary. It will be announced soon. It is expected that it will be announced after Holi in March. Because, due to the election code of conduct, the government will not announce it at the moment. This decision of the government will benefit more than 50 lakh central employees and 65 lakh pensioners. At present, the employees are getting 31% dearness allowance. From January 2022, the benefit of 3% more dearness allowance will be available. The total dearness allowance will be 34%. Now the next dearness allowance will be calculated in July 2022.

After increasing the dearness allowance by 3%, the total DA will become 34%. Now on the basic salary of Rs 18,000, the total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 73,440. But, if we talk about the difference from the current dearness allowance, then the annual increase in salary will be Rs 6,480. He will get dearness allowance of Rs 6120 every month. At the same time, if we calculate in the maximum salary range, then on the basic salary of Rs 56900, the total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 232152. He will get Rs 1707 more than the current DA. At the same time, DA of Rs 19346 will be available every month.

Calculation on minimum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000
2. New dearness allowance (34%) Rs 6120/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (31%) Rs 5580/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 6120- 5580 = Rs 540/month
5 Increase in annual salary 540X12 = Rs 6,480

Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900
2. New dearness allowance (34%) Rs 19346 / month
3. Dearness allowance so far (31%) Rs 17639 / month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 19346-17639 = Rs 1,707 / month
5. Increase in annual salary 1,707 X12 = Rs 20,484
