Dearness allowance DA Hike: The biggest update so far has arrived for central employees. His dearness allowance for January 2023 has been confirmed. Now they will get DA Hike at the new rate along with the salary. However, it will be credited only after it gets approval from the cabinet. But, it will be applicable from 1 January 2023.

At present, the figures that have come are enough to stamp the dearness allowance of the central employees. It has become clear that how much his dearness allowance has increased in January 2023.

DA Hike by 4%

The biggest good news of the year 2023 has come for the central government employees. Dearness allowance (Mehngai bhatta) has been announced. His dearness allowance (DA Hike) has increased by 4%. It is clear from the data of the new AICPI index that there will be an increase of 4% in the dearness allowance for the employees. The index has decreased by 0.2 points to reach 132.3 points in December 2022. Earlier in October and November this figure was at 132.5 points. It is clear from this that there will be an increase of only 4% in the dearness allowance.

How much will be the Dearness Allowance (DA) now?

After the increase of 4 percent in Dearness allowance, now it has increased to 42 percent. Till now dearness allowance was available at the rate of 38 per cent. But, now central employees and pensioners will get money at an increased rate. Earlier in July 2022 also, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of the employees was increased by 4 percent.


How much was the decline in CPI-IW?

The Labor Ministry has released the new data of All-India CPI-IW. It has been told that the number of December index has been released on the basis of the price of retail inflation taken from 317 markets of 88 industrial centers. On the basis of percentage of one month, there has been a decrease of 0.15 percent in the figure. On the other hand, if we talk about this month on an annual basis, then the decline has been 0.24 percent.

Inflation softens for DA Hike

DA is calculated from the CPI-IW figures taken from industrial centers under the 7th Pay Commission. The index has also changed due to a slight decrease in it. Food inflation was lower in December as compared to November. According to the index, the first Food and Beverages CPI-IW was 133.3 in November, while it stood at 132.0 in December. Inflation has been seen in betel nut, betel nut and tobacco products.

The index stood at 148.7 points in November, while 149.2 points have been recorded in December. The figure for clothing and footwear stood at 132.8 as against 132.3. Whereas, housing remained flat at 121.0 points. Inflation in fuel and light remained unchanged at 177.8 per cent. Inflation in other categories has increased from 129.1 to 130.0 points.
