7th Pay Commission: According to the ministry, this increase has been done while respecting the contribution of JCOs.



The Defense Ministry on Friday announced that it has approved an increase in the number of honorary commissions awarded to Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) for the rank of lieutenant.

According to the ministry statement, JCOs serving on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day in their final year of service are awarded Honorary Commission in recognition of their exemplary service and contribution to the Armed Forces. Honorary commissioned JCOs get salary and pension according to the honorary post.

The ministry said that since 1984, the ratio of award of honorary commission was 12:1000 which has now been increased to 15:1000. He said that this increase has been done while respecting the contribution of JCO.

At the same time, there is good news for bank employees. Their salary will also increase from August 2021. This is because their DA has been increased to 27.79 per cent. According to the report of ‘News 18’, DA (Dearness Allowance) has been increased by 2.1 percent as compared to the previous quarter.

The increment of bank employees will be effective from August to October and will be applicable to the bankers having 11th bps salary structure. This decision of the central government will benefit about eight lakh employees working in the banking sector.



On the other hand, there is good news for the government employees of BJP ruled Assam. They will also get increased salary soon. According to media reports, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has decided to increase the DA of state government employees and DR of pensioners from 17 percent to 28 percent. The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by the CM.
