G20 Summit: The Delhi government has directed all employers of shops, businesses and commercial establishments to give paid holidays to their employees and workers.
The Delhi government has directed to give leave along with salary to the employees and workers of all the shops, businesses and business institutions in the district. These employees will be given leave during the G20 summit. The Delhi government has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
In a notification, the Delhi government said that in view of the G20 leaders’ summit being held at Pragati Maidan in the national capital, September 8-10 will be a public holiday. Earlier, the government had announced the closure of banks, financial institutions and commercial institutions in New Delhi last week.
Shops and business establishments will remain closed
The government said that all employers of shops, business and commercial institutions located in the New Delhi district of the National Capital Region will keep their shops and establishments closed from September 8 to September 10, 2023 and will also give paid holidays to their employees and workers.
Government in full preparation
The government is fully prepared for the G-20 summit in the country’s capital Delhi. In order to avoid any inconvenience to the foreign guests, the entry of public vehicles and private vehicles, taxi-cabs and air flights have also been canceled in New Delhi district.
30 metro stations will remain closed for a few hours
In view of the VVIP movement that will happen every day between 8 and 10 September, 30 stations of the metro will be closed for a few hours, so that the security system is good. Along with this, extra para military force will also be deployed. The closure of the station will not affect the operations. Only entry and exit will be banned. Apart from this, it has also been decided to cancel 80 flights in view of parking.
It is worth mentioning that the heads of state of 29 countries, officials of European countries and heads of 14 international organizations are likely to participate in the G20 summit. Apart from this, guest countries have also been invited.
