Brijesh Goyal, convenor, Chamber of Trade Industry (CTI), says that the signals from the Chief Minister are positive. Traders want the market to be open, as no one is confident about Corona when it will end completely. In such a situation, one has to learn to live with it. Traders want shops to be opened with certain safety standards such as even-odd, a period for markets and adequate security arrangements.

Sanjeev Mehra (President, Khan Market Traders Association) says that we are in favor of opening the market. A letter was also written to the Home Ministry and the Chief Minister regarding this. In which the demand was made to open the market in view of the economic condition of the country and itself. Khan Market is the nearest market from where the daily needs of the people are met. It cannot be kept closed for a long time. In such a situation, markets may be allowed to open after adopting all measures to prevent corona.

According to Atul Bhargava (President, New Delhi Traders Association), we have no problem in opening the market and keeping the physical distance. Connaught Place has large shops. There is an open market. There is a wide corridor, where people can walk a distance. Apart from this, the time of opening and closing of shops can also be changed, but the situation is not looking right now due to the increasing prevalence of corona epidemic. It would be better to take a few more days to open the market. Eventually, employees will also come to the market using public transport.

Sanjay Bhargava (President, Chandni Chowk Sarva Vyapar Mandal) said that the aud-eaves are being talked about. But this does not seem practical, where after visiting the market the customer goes to various stores for various goods. Instead, arrangements can be made to open the wholesale and retail markets on different days. So that employees, laborers and buyers along with shopkeepers are safe. However, at a time when the festival of Eid is coming, people will go out for shopping, in such a situation there is a possibility of corona epidemic rising. In Saudi Arabia, the lockdown has been pushed forward.
