Actually, due to security reasons on Republic Day , there will be a change in the service of Delhi Metro for some time. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has also issued an advisory for the passengers. According to the information received from Delhi Metro, services on Line-2 (HUDA City Centre-Samaypur Badli) will be partially affected on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 (Republic Day).

These stations will remain closed
According to the information received from Delhi Metro, Metro services will be partially affected on Line 2 (HUDA City Centre-Sayapur Badli). Entry and exit services at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations will remain closed till 12 noon on January 26. The Central Secretariat station will be used only for the interchange of passengers between Line 2 and Line 6.
Apart from this, entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations will remain closed from 8:45 am to 12 noon.
All metro parking will remain closed
According to the information received regarding the parking of Delhi Metro, from 6 am on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26, 2022, all metro parking places will also be closed. Actually, this step has been taken under the security arrangements, while all other services of Delhi Metro will continue to run without any hindrance.
Advisory regarding ‘Beating Retreat’
Metro services will not be available from 2 PM to 6.30 PM at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations of Line-2 (HUDA City Center – Samaypur Badli) on the occasion of Beating Retreat on 29th January, 2022 (Saturday).
However, during this period Line 2 to Line 6 (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh) passengers will be allowed to interchange at Central Secretariat Metro Station. At the same time, normal services will be restored at these stations from 6.30 pm.
Every year on the occasion of Republic Day, a parade is organized on the Rajpath, so the nearby metro stations are closed for security reasons. At the same time, many roads are also diverted for the ceremony to be held on Rajpath. Apart from this, security arrangements are also chalked out for the ‘Beating Retreat’ ceremony to be held on the evening of 29 January.
