Mumbai Metro officials told that the proposed Line-3 of Mumbai Metro is being prepared between Aarey to Cuffe Parade. 27 metro stations will be constructed on this line 3.
Now don’t be surprised if you see the name of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) while using the metro train service in Mumbai. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has won the lowest bid for the operation and maintenance of the 33.5 km long Line-3 of the Mumbai Metro. This is the first time that DMRC will look after the operation of Metro in any other city outside Delhi.
Mumbai Metro officials told that the proposed Line-3 of Mumbai Metro is being prepared between Aarey to Cuffe Parade. 27 metro stations will be constructed on this line 3. DMRC can get the work of these 27 stations. According to officials, if DMRC gets this work, then this process will clear the way for DMRC to go to any project outside the National Capital Region (NCR).
According to DMRC, “Line-3 of the Mumbai Metro is being constructed under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Some parts of this metro line are likely to be commissioned by the end of this year.” “DMRC has won the lowest bid for operation and maintenance of Mumbai Metro’s 27-station and 33.5-km long Line-3 from Aarey to Cuffe Parade,” the statement said.
The name of DMRC is also associated with these cities.
Talking about the current situation, apart from operating its own corridors, DMRC also operates Rapid Metro in Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi. Apart from this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has constructed Kochi Metro, Jaipur Metro, Noida Metro and is active as a consultant in many other projects across the country. DMRC is currently building Metro in Patna, Bihar.
