Delhi Metro Card:  Along with the smart card, Delhi Metro has issued a new card NCMC or National Common Mobility Card. This card is said to be better than the smart card. Through this card, passengers can travel by paying fare in any metro and Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Rail across the country.

Delhi Metro Card: The country’s capital Delhi Metro has started a new card for passengers, which has been named NCMC i.e. National Common Mobility Card, about which the passengers are not aware yet. In such a situation, it is also coming to the fore that passengers are not able to get smart cards for fare payment. Employees at the customer care counter of the stations reply that this card is no longer available.

According to the information, NCMC (National Common Mobility Card) is being made available to the passengers at the stations by a private payment bank. Many passengers are being forced to buy this card even if they do not want to. To know the reality of this, when the team of Local18 talked to DMRC officials, it came to know that new NCMC cards are being made.

No pressure being made for the card

Whereas Expert Pratham told that those who have smart cards, their smart cards are still working and no one is being pressured to get a new card, only those who want to get this NCMC card on their own will are being provided this card. What is NCMC card?
NCMC means National Common Mobility Card. According to DMRC, there are three types of NCMC cards. First is the prepaid card, which has a wallet. This card can be used in the parking of all places including the metro. This is a type of debit card.

According to DMRC, the second card is the PPI card, which works in All India Metro. The third is the debit card, which is available only to those with Airtel accounts, whoever wants to get it can get it made, but no pressure is being made on anyone regarding this.

NCMC card is better than smart card

However, according to DMRC, NCMC is a better option than smart card, because it can be used for fare payment in all metros across the country and Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Rail. The central government is also promoting NCMC as one country one card. In such a situation, gradually the use of smart card will decrease and NCMC will get a boost.
