Giving information on Tuesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, ‘On the day of Holi, on March 14, services will not be available on all lines of Delhi Metro till 2:30 pm.’

According to DMRC, services will start from the terminal stations of all metro lines from 2:30 pm and then the metro will continue to run as per normal time. Passengers have been advised to plan their journey keeping this change in mind.

Tunneling work completed in Delhi Metro’s Golden Line project

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has successfully completed the tunneling work between Kishangarh and Vasant Kunj stations under the fourth phase of the Golden Line project. It is part of the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor.

Tunnel digging completed at Vasant Kunj station

According to DMRC, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) completed the digging work at the Vasant Kunj station site in the presence of Union Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Minister of State Tokhan Sahu.

How long was the tunnel built?

The 91-meter-long TBM machine excavated a 1,550-meter-long tunnel at Vasant Kunj station. Two parallel tunnels are being built for up and down movement. According to DMRC, the work on the second tunnel is expected to be completed by June. The project is an important step in the expansion of the Delhi Metro and will provide better connectivity to passengers.
