DMRC Advisory For New Year Eve: There is a lot of enthusiasm about the New Year celebrations in Delhi. Meanwhile, an advisory has been issued by Delhi Metro regarding New Year’s Eve i.e. 31 December. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said on Monday (30 December) that to ensure public safety, passengers will not be allowed to exit Rajiv Chowk Metro Station after 9 pm on New Year’s Eve.
DMRC has shared information in this regard on social media platform X. DMRC has taken this decision keeping in mind public safety as per the advice of police officials.

DMRC update on New Year’s Eve
As per the advice of police officials, to ensure public safety and manage the crowd on New Year’s Eve (31 December 2024), exit from Rajiv Chowk metro station will not be allowed from 9:00 pm. However, passengers will be allowed entry till the last train leaves Rajiv Chowk metro station on 31 December.
QR tickets will also not be issued from mobile app
Apart from this, for the smooth implementation of these measures, QR tickets with the destination of Rajiv Chowk metro station will not be issued through DMRC’s mobile app from 8:00 pm. Metro services on the rest of the network will continue to run as per the regular timetable. In the advisory issued by DMRC, passengers have been requested to plan their journey accordingly and cooperate with the officials.
