According to DMRC, female-female passengers traveling in Delhi Metro can take part in this competition. The girls and women participating in the competition will have to post a slogan or poem on the topic “Gender Equality Today for a Stronger Tomorrow” through the DMRC website by March 14. The poem is captivating and likewise the slogan should also be pleasing to the people at first sight.
Like the competition, the slogan and poem will have to be submitted through the website by the last date i.e. 14 March. After this, DMRC will reward selected women and girls by selecting Ummah slogans and poems. According to official information, DMRC will announce the names of the winners on March 25 of this month. The winners will be paid some cash amount in the prize. How much will this cash amount be? It hasn’t been stated yet.

BJP leader and former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, in her letter sent to the DMRC chief a few years back, has demanded to reserve three metro coaches for women. It was argued that there is no problem in reserving 3 coaches for women in a metro which has 8 coaches. Similarly, in a metro which has only 6 coaches, instead of 3, only 2 coaches can be reserved for women.
