The strictness on the restrictions imposed in Delhi regarding Covid has started reducing. In view of the decrease in the graph of Corona, the government is removing the restrictions. Due to this, Delhi Metro has also decided to restore its services.
Delhi Metro informed on Friday that in view of the recent guidelines issued by the government, on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday, metro services in the capital Delhi will be started from tomorrow i.e. January 29. Services will be resumed on all lines as per the regular weekend time table.
However, due to the Beating Retreat Ceremony, there will be minor changes to services on the Yellow Line, which are as follows-
1. Metro services will not be available at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations of Yellow Line i.e. Line 2 (HUDA City Center – Samaypur Badli) from 2.00 PM to 6.30 PM.
2. During this time, passengers will be allowed to interchange between Yellow Line to Violet Line, ie Line 6 (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh) at Central Secretariat Metro Station.
3. Normal services will be restored at these stations from 6.30 pm.
Also, with 100% seating capacity and no standing, the guidelines will remain the same. Covid guidelines will be followed properly at all stations.
On behalf of the metro, passengers have also been advised to take extra time for commuting and cooperate with the authorities.
