On the occasion of the launch of DMRC Momentum 2.0 app, Vikas Kumar said that this app equipped with features like Artificial Intelligence will provide its facilities to the passengers during the journey in the metro and even after the journey is over.
Delhi Metro on Wednesday launched the Momentum 2.0 app to facilitate the movement of its passengers. The app will provide the facility of QR code based ticketing, e-shopping, smart card recharge and digital locker for safe delivery and storage of goods at the metro station. While launching the app, Metro Managing Director Vikas Kumar said that for the first time in the country, any metro has launched such a new platform which will help the passengers even after the journey is over.
On the occasion of the app launch, Vikas Kumar said that this app, equipped with features like Artificial Intelligence, will provide its facilities to the passengers during the journey in the metro and even after the journey is over. It will provide facilities ranging from auto recharge of smart cards to digital locker for keeping luggage at metro stations. In future, the facility of e-rickshaw, e-cycle and bike booking will be made available from last mile connectivity stations. He said that he has appealed to the passengers to use this app, so that they will get all the facilities related to the metro.
From QR ticketing to auto recharge facility
The facility of QR code based ticketing on Momentum 2.0 app will make commuting easier. Apart from this, if you travel with Metro smart card, then by adding it to the app, you will not have to recharge it again and again. If the balance in the smart card is low, it will be recharged automatically. Provided that you have to link the bank account with the app. No additional fee will have to be paid for this. Not only this, the complete history of recharge will also be available on the app. According to Metro, after this app there will be no need for the already running DMRC Travel, Delhi Metro.
Will be able to shop from virtual store
Apart from ticketing for metro travel on Momentum 2.0, you will also get the facility of e-shopping. Metro has tied up with a store through which it will provide the facility to purchase groceries and other essential items. He will get the goods delivered at metro stations only. At present, this delivery facility is available at 20 places on the metro network. By June 2024, the facility of delivery after shopping will be available at most stations.
Digital locker facility will be available at 50 stations
Digital locker (smart box) facility will also be available at 50 stations of the metro network through the Momentum 2.0 app. For example, if you are not at home. If you want to order any important item then you can book the locker of the metro station and get it delivered there. This locker can be booked through the app only. Not only this, if you are going somewhere like going to the stadium to watch cricket or going to a party and cannot take your bags there, you can still book a digital locker and keep your luggage there. That locker will open only with the PIN generated on your mobile. However, for this you will have to pay Rs 20, 30 and 40 per hour depending on the size of the locker. Can be booked for a maximum of 6 hours. This locker facility will be available at most stations by June 2024.

Apart from ticketing, digital locker, e-shopping, you will get all the information related to the metro network on the Momentum 2.0 app. Whether you want to make a travel plan or have to check the timing of the last train. You can also pay electricity bills with Fastag and mobile.
Apart from this, passengers will be able to pay their domestic bills like electricity, gas, mobile, DTH bills on this app of Metro. Not only this, the facility of Fastag recharge will also be available. Auto top up facility will be available for Metro Smart Card. This means that even after traveling in the metro, this app can be used for other purposes.
