In fact, passengers used to face many problems in getting metro token and recharging the smart card again and again. To overcome this problem and to make payment easier for the passengers, the automatic fare collection gate is now being updated in Delhi Metro.

Let us tell you that about 70 percent of the people traveling in Delhi Metro use smart cards. At the same time, a large number of people travel through tokens as well. Soon after the introduction of this facility, you will be able to travel in the metro without token or smart card. As a new option of payment, payment can be made through your ATM card or mobile phone.

This facility will start from March
Delhi Metro is preparing to start this service by the end of March. After the introduction of this new feature, you will be able to pay metro fare through mobile phone or debit card only. It is being said that in the first phase it will be started at three stations as a trial. After this, it will be extended to other stations in different phases. At present, this facility in Delhi Metro is available only on the Airport Express Line.

Now there will be a holiday

With the introduction of this new feature, changes will be made in the system and the fare will also be taken directly from the bank account of the passengers. Apart from this, passengers will also have the option of paying the fare through the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC).

Now with the introduction of the new feature, there will be no compulsion for the passengers to recharge the smart card.
