Delhi Metro Timing on 15th August 2024: Special preparations are going on in Delhi for the 78th Independence Day. At the same time, on the occasion of 15th August, Delhi Metro is making special preparations for the passengers. Metro services will start from 4 am on this day.
If you travel by Delhi Metro, then this news is of your use. In view of the upcoming Independence Day, the timing of Delhi Metro has been changed. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), on August 15, metro services will start from 4 am on all lines from every terminal station.
Metro officials said on Tuesday that train services on all DMRC lines will be available at an interval of 15 minutes from 4 am to 6 am on Independence Day and the regular time table will be followed in the period thereafter. Apart from this, those who have an invitation card issued by the Ministry of Defense to participate in the Independence Day celebrations will be allowed entry and travel on showing a valid photo ID card at the station.
Special arrangements at these 3 metro stations
DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said, “This arrangement will be valid only for exit at Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk metro stations, which are closest to the venue. These invitation cards will also be valid for the return journey from these 3 stations only.”

Defence Ministry will reimburse the expenses to DMRC
Dayal said that regular announcements will be made inside the train to inform the passengers about these arrangements. He said that the expenses incurred on the travel of such passengers will be reimbursed to DMRC by the Defence Ministry.
