Delhi Metro: On December 31, Delhi Metro has issued a new guideline to control overcrowding. According to the information, there will be a ban on the exit of passengers from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station after 9 pm. However, passengers have been allowed entry till the last train running from there. This decision was taken keeping in mind the possibility of the crowd in the New Year celebrations.
NEW YEAR EVE UPDATE
To ease overcrowding on New Year's Eve (31st December 2022), exit from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will not be allowed from 9 PM onwards. However, entry of passengers will be allowed till the departure of the last train.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) gave information about this by tweeting. Delhi Metro tweeted that passengers will not be allowed to exit Rajiv Chowk metro station from 9 pm and all exit gates will remain closed. However, passenger entry has been allowed from Rajiv Chowk metro station till the departure of the last train from the station. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, this step has been taken to reduce the crowd in Connaught Place and surrounding areas.
243 new cases surfaced in 24 hours
There have been 243 new cases of corona in India on Friday. According to the Union Health Ministry, the total number of infected in the country has increased to 4,46,78,158. After the death of one person due to infection in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, the death toll increased to 5,30,699. The ministry said that the daily infection rate is 0.11 percent while the weekly infection rate is 0.16 percent.
Rapid vaccine being given to people
According to the ministry, in the last 24 hours, 2,13,080 people were tested for Kovid-19. According to the website of the Ministry of Health, the national rate has increased to 98.80 percent. The ministry said that there has been an increase of 57 in the number of patients undergoing treatment in the last 24 hours. The number of people cured of the disease has increased to 4,41,43,850 while the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. According to the website of the ministry, so far 220.09 crore people have been given vaccine doses.
