Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat: Railways made many big changes in the train; you will be surprised

Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat: Keeping in mind the colder areas, many major changes have been made in the Vande Bharat train so that the travel of passengers can be easier. For this, apart from hot water, heating insulation has been added.

Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat: Indian Railways has made several changes in the country’s flagship train Vande Bharat to run it in colder areas. Several heating insulations including hot water have been added to prevent the bathroom from freezing and the driver’s windows from freezing in extreme temperatures, as well as to prevent steam from accumulating.

Northern Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said, “Things have been added to this train as per the need. The biggest problem in the train is the freezing of water in the water tank and pipeline at zero temperature, due to which the water supply is affected. To solve this, silicon insulation and heating arrangements have been made in the water pipeline and tank, so that the water temperature remains constant.

What changes did the Railways make?

Apart from this, people going to the toilet also face problems, especially in sub-zero temperatures. Keeping this in mind, blower vendors have been installed in the toilets. Also, from the safety point of view, some changes have been made in the cab of the loco pilot so that he can drive the train safely.”

He said, “The windscreen in front of the driver is made of two layers, between which heating elements are provided. This arrangement prevents snow from sticking to the glass, because due to the heating elements the snow falls down and does not stick. Apart from this, hot water flows slowly in the wiper washers, due to which snow and steam are removed from the glass. This technology will make it easier for the driver to drive even in snowfall.”

What did the officials say about the train route

He said, “As far as the route of the train is concerned, it is yet to be decided as the Jammu-Kashmir link is not fully ready. The report has come and we are currently studying it to see what further improvements can be made. After the study, the timetable, operation, comfort and safety protocols will be evaluated, after which a decision will be taken to run the train.”
