Preparations have been completed for the G-20 Summit in Delhi. The government is working hard to organize the conference in the capital in a good way. Due to VIP movement, there will be restrictions on many routes. However, Delhiites will continue to ride the metro as the metro will not remain closed. Let’s know about it in detail.

Security preparations have been intensified before the G-20 conference to be held in Delhi. Before the arrival of the heads of the 20 most powerful countries of the world, the Delhi Police does not want to leave any stone unturned in the security preparations. There is preparation for closure from traffic management to school-college.

In view of the G-20 conference, there will be a public holiday in the capital from 8 to 10 September. There will be holidays in schools, colleges and offices during these three days. Apart from this, traffic will be changed at places with VIP movement. Police will also give information about alternate routes for Delhiites.

The ban will start from the night of September 7.

According to the traffic management plan prepared for the G-20 summit, from 12 midnight on the 7th, traffic rules will be implemented around New Delhi area and other restricted or security cordoned places. During this time, entry will be given only to trucks carrying essential commodities, such as milk and milk products, vegetables, ration items, medicines and petroleum products etc. from the border. Heavy and medium goods vehicles carrying other goods will not be allowed entry. However, the vehicles which are inside Delhi will be allowed to go out of Delhi.

VIP movement will be on a large scale

VIP movement will be happening on a large scale in New Delhi area, in view of this all the offices, malls and markets etc. of New Delhi will remain closed from 8th to 10th. DTC buses will also be diverted or terminated from other areas adjacent to New Delhi. Interstate buses will also be terminated at Ghazipur, Sarai Kale Khan and Anand Vihar. Interstate buses of Haryana and Rajasthan coming from Gurgaon side will also be stopped at Rajokri border or will be sent from there towards Mehrauli.

Metro service will continue

The good thing is that during this time the metro service will continue. Special Commissioner of Traffic Police S.S. Yadav has appealed to the people that during the G-20 summit, if they travel by metro instead of by road, then there will be no problem. It has also been advised to use Metro more and more to go to places like airport, railway station, bus stand, hospital. However, due to security arrangements, some metro stations like Supreme Court, Khan Market, Mandi House, Central Secretariat may be closed between September 8 and 10, but all other metro stations will remain open and metro will run on all lines.
