Instructions have been issued to close all the slaughter houses in Haryana by 23rd August. The government of Haryana has taken this decision due to the festival of Jainism. An order has been issued on behalf of the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies of Haryana while the district Deputy Commissioners have been ordered to deal with the strictness.
It is reported that the letter issued by the Directorate says that all slaughter houses will remain closed for 9 days from 15th August to 23rd August. It is reported that the Directorate has taken this decision after a legal notice. The order has been asked to be implemented with immediate effect.
