What did SpiceJet say?
SpiceJet is launching 14 new flights as part of our commitment to enhance regional connectivity and bring smaller cities on the aviation map of the country, Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet said in a statement. Out of this, the first flights are Bhavnagar-Delhi, Bhavnagar-Surat, Gwalior-Jaipur, Kishangarh (Ajmer)-Mumbai, Pune-Tirupati and Varanasi-Dehradun.
He said, we will also connect Bhavnagar with Mumbai. Bhavnagar is the sixth major city in Gujarat where SpiceJet will start flight services. The airline will use its Q400 aircraft to operate these 14 new flights.
Flights connecting Gwalior to Madhya Pradesh and Delhi
Airlines Indigo will start daily flights connecting Gwalior to Madhya Pradesh and Delhi (Delhi-Gwalior and Indore-Gwalior route) from September 1. Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in a tweet on August 13 that Indigo Airlines will start operating new flight routes between Delhi-Gwalior and Indore-Gwalior on a daily basis from September 1.
