DoPT New Order- The new order of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has brought relief to the Central employees. Now, under LTC, they will be able to travel by Vande Bharat Express, Tejas and Humsafar. These run on 230 routes.
Central employees will get a chance to travel in many more luxury trains under Leave Travel Concession (LTC). Under this, employees will be able to travel with their families in semi high speed trains Vande Bharat, Tejas and Humsafar. Earlier, they had the option of mail, express and some premium trains. But 230 more premium trains have been included. This decision has been taken by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
More than 10000 trains are run by Indian Railways across the country. Apart from mail-express, premium trains are also included in this. Till now, central employees were getting the benefit of LTC in premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto, apart from this, the only option was to travel by mail-express. But now, all will be able to travel in premium trains. The number of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains is only 52. Therefore, the options for travelling in premium trains for LTC were very less. But now, after the inclusion of 230 more premium trains, this number has reached 282.
Official said – both employees and railways will benefit
In this regard, Executive Director Information and Publicity of Railway Ministry Dilip Kumar said that both central employees and railways will benefit from this. While employees will get many options to travel in premium trains, the revenue of railways will also increase. In this way, in future, central employees will be able to go directly to Srinagar by premium trains (Vande Bharat).
