Ministry of Road Transport gives facility
The Ministry of Road Transport is providing the facility to get a driving license online. All the candidates who want to get a driving license can get their learning driving license done sitting at home through this facility. For this, first you have to get a learning driving license.
Learning DL will have to be made first
Whenever we go to get our license made, first of all our learning license is made. We are made permanent license only after learning license. You will not need to go to RTO office to get learning license online. You can get learning license in no time by giving test from anywhere at any place. However, to get a permanent license, you will have to go to the RTO office and give a driving test.
What is the whole process
To get a learning license online, first you have to go to the website sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do. After this, you have to select your state from the drop down list. After this, the option of Learner’s License Apply has to be clicked from the list. After this, you have to choose the option of giving the test from home.
In the next step, you check the box of the applicant without a driving license issued in the country and click on the submit button. Now after entering the details of Aadhaar card and mobile number, click on the generate OTP button. After entering the OTP, verify all the details. Then check the box to accept the terms and conditions. After this you have to click on the authentication button.
In the next step, you will have to choose the option of payment method of license fee. It is mandatory to watch a 10 minute driving instruction video to proceed for the test. After the tutorial video is over, an OTP and password for the test will be sent to the registered phone number. To start the test, please complete the form. Fix the front camera on your device and turn it on.
Now appear for the test and answer at least six out of 10 questions correctly to pass the test. A link to the license will be sent to the registered phone number after clearing the test. If the test is not cleared, Rs 50 will be charged for re-test.
