New Delhi : In Delhi, the validity of some driving licenses expiring between February 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022 has been extended by two months i.e. till March 31, 2022. This was announced by Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot on Friday evening.

He said that the Delhi government has always stood with the common people. He tweeted in Hindi and said, “Keeping in mind the interest of the general public of Delhi, the Transport Department has decided to extend the validity of all learning licenses and driving licenses for the next three months i.e. up to 31.03.2022.
Validity was extended earlier also
According to the Transport Department, the validity of the Learner’s License was earlier extended till 31 January 2022. And whereas, many learner’s license holders are not able to get online placement slots for their driving skill test and there are many more applicants than the available driving test slots.”
Therefore, the validity of those learner’s licenses, including heavy commercial vehicle driving licenses issued by the department, which will expire between February 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022, have been extended by two months.
