Duplicate PAN Card: If your PAN card is lost, then you can get it duplicated.
Duplicate PAN Card: Everyone is using PAN card. Now it has become necessary to have it with the common citizen. In such a situation, PAN information has to be filled in the bank and any other work. But, if someone’s PAN card is lost or missing, then it is bound to be worried. Because, without a PAN card, many of your important work can stop.
This is a document which is useful in any financial transaction. But, what to do if you lose? Don’t worry, there is an easy way. You can get a duplicate card made from the Income Tax Department. Separate application has to be made for duplicate PAN card. For this, you have to follow four easy steps and your PAN card will be in your pocket again.
step 1
Go to the website of Income Tax PAN Services Unit. Here you will see many options. Out of these, you can take the option of ‘Reprint of PAN Card’. This happens for those people who have already been allotted Permanent Account Number (PAN), but they need PAN card again. After adopting this option, a new PAN card is issued to that applicant, which bears the same number.
Step 2
You have to fill all the columns of this form, but do not check any one in the left margin box. After that you have to pay Rs 105. If you want, you can make this payment through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, Demand Draft or Cheque. After completing all these procedures, when you submit this form, you will get the acknowledgment receipt.
Step 3
Take a print out of this receipt. Paste a color photograph of 2.5 cm by 3.5 cm size on it. Sign yours. If you have paid through Demand Draft or Cheque, please attach a copy of the same. Then
send it to the Pune office of NSDL along with ID proof, address proof and proof of date of birth .
Step 4
All your documents should reach NSDL office within 15 days of online application. You will get your duplicate PAN card within 15 days of this. If you want, you can know the status of your PAN card. For this you type NSDLPAN, leave space and enter the acknowledgment number and send it to 57575.

- -Visit https://www.tin-nsdl.com/ website.
- On the home page, click on Reprint option.
- Click on the option ‘Reprint of PAN Card’ at the bottom of the page.
- After clicking, a new page will open, here you will have to fill your PAN number, Aadhaar and birth date. Click on the check box.
- Option of OTP will be asked. You can choose any one option between e-mail id and mobile. The application can be verified with OTP.
- The mobile number or email ID should be registered with the original PAN number.
- After clicking on ‘Generate OTP’, you will get OTP and click on submit button. Keep in mind that OTP will be valid for 10 minutes only.
- After entering the OTP, the payment will have to be made. You can click for print by paying a nominal fee of Rs.50.
- -At the same time a message will be sent to you mobile number. You can also download e-Pan with the help of the link given in this message.
Information will not be updated in duplicate PAN card
Before applying, it must be understood that in the duplicate PAN card, the details will be filled on the basis of the old PAN card. Any new information cannot be updated. The duplicate PAN card will be sent to the address registered with the Income Tax Department only.
