Electric cars are coming to government offices in Kerala. The advent of electric cars has completely eliminated fuel cars. Cars are being rented for the purpose of government offices.
By the first week of next month, 50 e-cars will be rented at 7 government offices. The nodal agency for the project is ANERT. E-cars are sponsored by Energy Services Limited, a central government agency.

E-cars have been rented at six ANERT offices on a trial basis. Already 65 government agencies have approached ANERT for the vehicle. Anert will be able to deliver the cars within 20 days of applying.
Meanwhile, registration has started for setting up charging stations near National Highways and State Highways for charging cars. Those with 1000 square feet of space will be considered for this.
