At the same time, nowadays almost all documents have e-documents which people also use a lot, such as e-Aadhar card etc. Similarly, e-PAN card is also there. If you get an e-PAN card made, then it has many benefits. Like – there is no fear of it getting lost, stolen, torn. This is because e-PAN card is an electronic document which you can keep in your computer / laptop, mobile etc.
This is the way to get e-PAN card:-
Step 1
- If you also want to get e-PAN card, then you have to download it
For this you can go to the official website of Income Tax Department https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ - Here you have to go to the ‘Quick Links’ section and click on ‘Instant E-PAN’ here
Step 2
- Then you have to click on the option ‘Get New e-PAN’ and enter your Aadhaar number here
- During this, keep in mind that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar and the complete date of birth is written correctly and completely on the Aadhaar card
- Then you have to click on the information asked and fill the OTP received on your mobile number here
Step 3
- After this, you have to fill all the other information asked here including your email ID
- Then you have to click on submit, after which you will get your PAN card number here
- Now you have to click on the download PAN link of this website
- After this you E-PAN card can be downloaded in PDF format.
