e-Shram Card: e-Shram scheme has been started for workers associated with the unorganized sector in the country. Under the scheme, the central government gives Rs 1,000 every month in the account of eligible workers. This scheme is for those workers who are not a part of any scheme of the Labor Department

Under the scheme, the central government gives Rs 1,000 every month in the account of eligible workers. This scheme is for those workers who are not a part of any scheme of the Labor Department. This money is being given to them to save money and support the family.

The e-Shram scheme is being run by the Labor Ministry on behalf of the government. Under the scheme, eligible workers can apply for e-Shram card. Workers get many benefits under the e-Shram card. These benefits include insurance, pension after 60 years and financial assistance.

Who can apply under this government scheme

Eligibility and required documents

Age limit: Workers between 16 to 59 years can apply for this.

Eligibility: Labor should be working in the unorganized sector and should not be a member of EPFO, ESIC or NPS.

Documents: Aadhar card, bank account details, information about what work you are doing.

Mobile number should be linked with Aadhaar.

How to do registration?

Eligible workers can register themselves by visiting eshram.gov.in.

How to check e-Shram card balance?

Visit the e-Shram portal.
Click on e-Shram Card link.
Generate OTP by entering registered mobile number.
After verifying OTP, go to dashboard.
Select My Account option and click on Check Balance button to view the balance.
